I was going to pick random lyrics from the song I'm currently listening to for my title, but it turns out to be Closer. Which doesn't make very good titles. So, some random stuff to get that slightly discouraging rant off my main page.

1. Marilyn Manson's book is both 'ew yuck' and 'omg cool'. Actually, all of Marilyn Manson is like that. But. While I do not enjoy some of the images his rather graphic storytelling leaves me with (I swear there is an entire level of hell where all that happens is you have to think about Marilyn Manson having sex), there is something oddly compelling about how he so unabashedly talks about thing like LSD trips and attempted murders by arson. I'm some amount of the way through, reading in chunks. I love it. Except for the parts where he severely dislikes Daisy, but I was sort of expecting those.

2. I really enjoy Trigun but sometimes Yasuhiro Naitou's fight scenes are hard to follow. I just went through volume three going 'wait, what did he do to Grey? Did the box fall? When did Leonov get over there? Are those the things from inside the robot or are they just random midgets?' Which cheapened the experience a little. However, there was about a page of Legato and Midvalley and a gazillion panels of Vash being adorable, so I AM HAPPY.

3. Midvalley has to get some more screen time, god damn it. He's only got, what, four more volumes? Get with the backstory, jerkface!

4. I wonder how much effort it would take to dress like Tilda Swindon.
